The National Ambulance Service Representative Association have requested a meeting with the Minister for Health Dr. James Reilly with a view to member's of NASRA being appointed to the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council under S.I. No.109 of 2000.

Delegates from the National Ambulance Service Representative Association made history on April the 15 th when they elected their first ever officer board at their inaugural Annual Delegate Conference in the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim, Co.Meath.Delegates from the three NAS divisions and from the four provinces of Ireland turned out for what was a truly historic occasion.

Nasra interim National Secretary Derek O'Rourke has written to the Road Safety Authority asking for clarification on road traffic exemptions for Ambulance personnel engaged on emergency duties.

Following a ballot of members some weeks ago, The NASRA membership have accepted the PSA 2010 - 2014 (Croke Park Deal) by a majority of 86%. This decision now paves the way for engagement with management within the NAS who previously qouted NASRA's exclusion from the Croke Park Deal as the only reason why they should not and would not engage with us.

Seventeen NASRA branch officers, gathered from the length and breadth of Ireland, partook in our inaugural branch officers training course held on the 18th and 19th of May in Athlone.
